9th February 2003 Windsurfing: aberavon Wind Direction: north west Wind Stength: 3 to4 5 at times Surf / Sea State: good 5 to 6 foot faces Air Temperature: 6 Sea Temperature: cold Weather: sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: went to newton beach found it was high tide cross off so we went to rest bay lovely swell but high tide. move again to averaven at port talbolt got there it was 5.8 weather set up 86 goya got out massive jump off third wave out carried on plaining turned back to beach wind dropped. so i got my skate 100 out still on 5.8 grind plained from the off had a few big jumps on third or 4th wave and every now and again off a set out the back. played around for 4 to five hours wind dropped again so i set up mountain board on 6.4 blade on beach lot of fun but had a big wipe out. ive being off work today because of a very sore shoulder. still it was nice to plain and jump properly had some lovely front wave riding on some logo high sets every now and again. dez had a good day once her changed to his free style board kate was out on her tribal wave and got scared a bit from the waves but still had a good day. |
